We are excited to announce Fung Fellowship Spring 2019 project partners as our health + tech Fellows innovate the future of aging. Fung Fellows work on interdisciplinary design teams to engage in customer research, ideate, design and develop prototypes and solutions to challenges that our partner organizations pose. These partnerships provide our students an unparalleled opportunity to work on real-world challenges and our industry partners access to new ideas and innovative solutions from our interdisciplinary student teams.

These are the organizations innovating in aging tech that are collaborating with Fung Fellows:

Alz You Need provides a digital marketplace that makes it simple for family caregivers to discover dementia assistive technology with the goal of improving quality of life for both themselves and their loved ones.

Byer Square — SF Campus for Jewish Living is a community hub for optimizing quality of life for older adults and caregivers, integrating cutting edge technologies with best care practices both in-person and online.

Enfavr supports a community of trusted friends who connect, collaborate to fulfill a need and help another, addressing the issue of high cost of getting care from professional caregivers, by employing a peer-based model.

Smith Group designs “engagement stations” for memory care communities, based on a philosophy of care that is designed to reduce the negative symptoms of dementia, maintain residents’ current abilities, and provide stimulating creative activities during residents’ daily lives.
