This Fall 2019, the Fung Institute will launch a second year Honors program as another component of our novel undergraduate Wellness and Technology Innovations Fellowship program. Students accepted into the Fung Fellowship’s Honors program will deepen their exploration of health and technology through human centered design innovations.

Under the leadership of Dr. Jennifer Mangold, Honors Fellows will work on year-long capstone projects with community or industry partners to address critical public health topics such as mental health, well-being, social isolation, and healthy aging. Honors Fellows will continue to develop their professional and leadership skills as they provide mentorship for our incoming class of Fellows, engage with industry mentors, and participate in a series of entrepreneurship workshops.

We are excited to see what the Honors Fellows accomplish as they bring their passion, interests, and diverse perspectives to their work!”, said Jennifer.

Sonia S. is continuing into the Honors program and shared a two-minute video about her first year in the Fellowship:

“The Fung Fellowship has truly allowed me to utilize the skills I learned in the classroom towards developing meaningful solutions.” — Sonia S., UC Berkeley 3rd year majoring in Business Administration.
